1. About Career

Are biology and maths your favourite subjects? Would you like to create a medical device that prevents illness or save peoples' life? If yes, you should consider a career in biomedical engineering.

Biomedical engineering is a medical support engineering. It combines the principle of engineering and medicine/biology to develop medical devices or techniques used for medicinal purpose in health care systems. A biomedical engineer studies and applies the mathematical and physical concepts of engineering in the biological world. They also develop artificial organs such as heart, kidney etc. They combine conceptual knowledge of natural organs and technical understanding of different engineering fields such as robotics, electronics and many more.

Example: X-ray machines, artificial kidneys, or cardiac pacemakers.
